I am Mandy Collie – the Dogged Writer.

My career over the past 20 years has mostly been in the corporate world of technology where I started right at the grassroots level of building PC’s and worked my way up the corporate levels to lead a global team of service consultants, providing world-class service management to over 200 telecommunications companies in the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.

I originally studied a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History at the University of Cape Town, with the intention to pursue a career in the literary world.  When life and career opportunities presented different alternatives, I followed them into technology, using my intrinsic editing and proofreading passions to full advantage as I honed my writing experience to produce all manner of business documentation and communications.

It took the reality of retrenchment to present a life-changing opportunity to step into starting my own freelancing business as a Communication Consultant. I offer writing, editing, proofreading, ghostwriting and transcription services to a wide client base.

I’m very grateful to also acknowledge the unique opportunity my changed career journey has afforded me, namely to accomplish a long-held dream to write books. Hopefully my first novel will be published in the near future.
